About the object:
Sidea is an ancient Roman city, mentioned as part of Cilicia in the 1st century BC. It belonged to Pamphylia or Isauria in different periods. Its peak was in the 2nd-3rd centuries AD, with a population of over 4,000.
Extensive excavations have been conducted since 1994 under the leadership of the Alanya Archaeological Museum.
